Well, I guess technically I'm not putting shit anywhere. I can't really say Denver's not on the map. There are plenty of talented artists in Denver... I just haven't met that many. But I'm hoping they start coming out of the woodwork soon.
To be honest, Denver is just weird like that. It's like
Igor says, this place can be like the Bermuda Triangle sometimes. This is leading up to what I wanted to post about, an interest in setting up a Denver based CG group.
I inquired about it in
this thread and the response so far seems promising. I've had the chance to get to know guys like
Craig, also a Colorado based artist plus a very cool individual, and I'm definitely looking forward to meeting other talented artists.
The potential is definitely there and now it's just a matter of getting things moving. I'm becoming a little antsy and sitting behind a cardboard box 8 hours out of my day is starting to get to me to say the least. This Denver CG meeting thing is something I'm going in with realistic expectations but at the very least, if worse comes to worse, I think I've already come out of it with having the opportunity to meet some cool peeps.
I don't really know how many people read this blog, let alone how many are Denver based. But if you are in or near the Denver area and would be interested in taking a couple hours 1 day out of the month to meet and shoot the shit about art, definitely let me know.
